DESIGN FILES :: GUIDED BY LIGHT 2

If you were following us on our socials and blog you would have known that we revealed our Arabian Ranches 2 project holiday home last week, and we are so ready to share with you the rest of the house upstairs in this full home tour.

So carrying on upstairs we kept the same fresh green blue color palette throughout and injected a few coordinated colors with it as well in the bedrooms.

For the Master bedroom, the first thing you notice when you enter is not the bed or the bedding, it is that gorgeous wall color in Jotun's Dark teal 5454 and white pottery 8394 for the rest of the walls. To make that pop even more, we placed a Sun blast mirror with its brushed gold finish to emphasize the color even more.

As for the bed we opted for the same luxurious look we applied downstairs with the off whites and teal with gold (an all time winner if you want that sophisticated elegant look) where we sourced a beautiful bed with an extended headboard from Aura Living and matched that with gold plated side tables from Lifestyle (they are actually a set of three nesting tables but we kept two only next to the bed) and dressed them with beautiful glass and gold cascading night stands from Pan Emirates (so chic and such a good buy!).

For the dressing the bed, we went with luxury and chose Zara Home with its Royal Collection of Embroidered Duvet sets and layered a beautiful soft off-white 2XL quilt and custom made throw cushions in that beautiful teal shade.

To balance out the big room, we placed a matching bench at the end of the bed, and layered a soft carpet from Merinos in matching shades of grey and beige.

An Interiors arm chair in that matching blue color offers a nice reading spot in the corner coupled with a marble and gold side table and a sleek modern lines console, both from 2XL, where we dressed them with simple frames and a couple of round mirrors hung out in an interesting layout. The finishing touch to the room, custom made curtains and blinds with matching teal and beige luxurious fabrics.

In the second bedroom, we also kept the same colors through but accented them with a soft blush pink and loads of texture. The bedroom is slightly smaller in size but that didn't stop us from using a kind size bed upholstered with luxurious green Indian silk, dressed with bedding from Marina home and west elm offering the eye texture with the pink wool and intricate details of the cushions and the fur throw.

For the second guest room, we went with a minimal layer back color palette and opted for darker tones of greys and blues with warm wood tones. The room also had a lot of texture from cottons, to textured fabrics for the curtains and velvet too.

We went with a grey queen size bed from The One and paired it with a beautiful wood and marble West Elm Nightstand and a brass table lamp.

For the bedding we kept fresh with crisp white sheets and velvet throw cushions from Debenhams. For the bed art we went with a graphic modern look and used metal and wood Art from Pan Emirates.

To finish off the room, we added a velvet chair from Ikea, and a brass and glass table (one of the extras from the master bedroom) as a side table. The grey and blue carpet we sourced from ID Design as well.

For the third guest bedroom, we went back to the the light teal color but only in the soft furnishings and accessories. We used an oat color upholstered bed from The one ( A classic shape and color that will never go out of trend and so easy to style with any color). For the side table we chose a mirror top side table (that had coasters on the bottom but we removed them - a great budget friendly find from Pan Emirates, especially that the tray top has nice silver specles within its mirror. A matching colored side lamp adds extra glam to it. For the headboard art we went with a matching colored circular art again from Pan emirates, and for bedding, a selection of grey colored cushions from JYSK with the main cushion in its textured colors from West Elm. Again custom made roman blinds completed the look along with the Merinos carpets to add warmth to the floors.

When you tour the entire house, you get a feeling of peace and relaxation - that warmth of a home with the right amount of color, character and interest.

This particular project shows that even if you color palette was similar in the entire house, there would always be room to play around with the details rendering each room different from the other.

We were so delighted this house ticked all our client's brief, wishes and dreams of a Dubai house away from home. In fact, they were enthralled it went beyond their expectations!
