Continuing our home tour in our Sharjah project (Part 1 is here) we take the transformation into the Majlis, the heart of the home where you would welcome your guests and have big family gatherings.

As you enter, you are welcomed by a beautiful antique mirror finished console from Interiors that we styled with golden sculptures and incense. We also added a small velvet grey bench and some intricate 3D art made with golden threads and finished the entrance with a beautiful carpet and a modern glass chandelier.

You then step into the beautifully lit majlis flooding with natural light which was beautifully furnished with aqua blue velvet and silk finished sofa set from Interiors and setup so it has two distinct separated by a dark blue velvet bench with a similar gold and silver finish to the rest of the furniture. When needed, the two areas can easily become one space, allowing for more seating options. We then complimented them with intricate golden coffee tables and side tables that added to the overall regal feel of the majlis.

To keep the overall look polished, we selected modern side lamps from Al Huthaifa that had intricate details, brushed gold and dark shades to balance with the overall blue in the space.

We also selected beautiful silk carpets from Carpet Centre from their Scarlett collection. Their silky finish changes colour depending on which angle you are looking at it from and the colour was just perfect to hold the whole look together.

The tables were kept simply styled so as not overcrowd the space, so we just used some flower arrangements in golden vases, a few candles, glass boxes and a tray, leaving plenty of space for serving drinks and bites. The walls, that were painted in Jotun's lady design collection, were also dressed in beautiful pastels and guilded artwork to compliment the furniture and a huge metal Ayat a Kursy from Marina Home was made the focal point of the whole space as it hangs.

Simple white sheer curtains were chosen for the window treatments while beautiful Crystal chandeliers and scones dressed up the wall mouldings throughout (the home owners did an amazing job selecting them!).

The result, each intricate detail in the space contributed to it being balanced and chic without being too overpowering. True Elegance.
